It is with deep regret I have to report the passing of one of our members. John (Jack) Southern passed away on the 29^th May at Gateshead Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He had suffered ill health for a number of years, but still met with us on a regular basis to operate his extensive railroad. Jack was a member of this club since the late 60’s and was involved with many of our layouts at exhibitions. He was a close personal friend since he joined our club and will be greatly missed by all our members.
